As part of observing Earth Day, CPREEC EIACP PC-RP Sri Vijaya Puram Field Office organised an awareness programme in collaboration with Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council at Buniyadabad Ward No. 8 on 22.4.2026.

Shri. K. Ganeshan, Former Chairman, Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council and Shri. Lalit Kumar Ekka, Sanitary Inspector released the awareness poster. Posters were pasted on waste route collection vehicles and market places, shops, etc. where more than 500 general public viewed. More than 80 sanitary workers and general public participated. Posters were distributed.

The popular deities today are two Vedic gods—Vishnu combined with a non-Vedic Narayana, and Rudra combined with a non-Vedic Shiva—and the many forms of Shakti, the supreme goddess. Agni, Indra and Soma, along with 28 others, became ‘minor deities’.
