World Elephant Day 2025 celebrated by CPREEC EIACP PC-RP's Ooty Field Office

As part of observing World Elephant Day, CPREEC EIACP PC-RP's Ooty Field Office organized an awareness program and released an info-graphic at Giri Eashwara Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Kagguchi, The Nilgiris. A total of 5 teachers and 98 students attended the programme and awareness posters were distributed.

The popular deities today are two Vedic gods—Vishnu combined with a non-Vedic Narayana, and Rudra combined with a non-Vedic Shiva—and the many forms of Shakti, the supreme goddess. Agni, Indra and Soma, along with 28 others, became ‘minor deities’.
